Let’s be honest—Yogyakarta isn’t short on temples, street food, or traffic jams. But there’s a wild side to this city that most visitors never see. If you’re ready to trade a good night’s sleep for something unforgettable, join us for a midnight adventure to chase the Sikunir Sunrise and Borobudur Tour, wandering through ancient wonders in the Dieng Plateau and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We’ll pick you up right from your hotel or the train station—wherever you’re staying in Yogyakarta.
Settle in for the ride. Some people love watching the world go by; others just slip back to sleep while we handle the road to Sembungan Village.
Once we reach the parking area, you’ll have time to wake up, stretch, and enjoy a hot drink—coffee or tea—plus some traditional snacks or a simple breakfast like Indomie noodles or Nasi Goreng.
Time for a gentle trek to the top. Don’t worry about directions—this is a popular trail, and your driver will be waiting down below. The hike usually takes 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace.
Catch the famous “golden sunrise” from Sikunir’s peak. The views—especially of Mount Sindoro and Mount Sumbing—are stunning and totally worth the early start.
Head down at your own pace and meet your driver, ready for the next stretch.
Enjoy the fresh mountain air as we wind our way toward the next stop.
Take it easy—this is a mellow walk with incredible views over the colored lake, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.
Step into another world at Sikidang Crater—steaming vents, bubbling pools, plumes of smoke—it’s wild and fascinating.
Wander through the oldest Hindu temple site on Java. The temples have their own quiet charm and a long history you can really feel as you explore.
Settle in for the drive. We’ll stop for lunch en route at a local restaurant before heading to the famous temple.
Take a break, try authentic Javanese or Indonesian dishes, stretch your legs, and scroll through those sunrise photos.
From lunch, we’ll get you to the temple—entry, shuttle, and all. A local guide will walk you through Borobudur’s story as you explore the whole site, all included.
Once you’re done, we’ll drive you straight back to your hotel or train station in Yogyakarta. That’s a wrap—thanks for joining us on this adventure!
